FWCI

Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) is an article-level metric that compares a paper's citations to the world average for papers of the same age, type, and discipline. An FWCI of 1.0 means the paper is cited at the world average; 2.0 means twice the average. FWCI is calculated by Scopus and Dimensions and is the metric most commonly used by modern research evaluators because it normalizes across fields.
