DORA

The San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) is a worldwide initiative that recommends against using journal-level metrics (particularly impact factor) as a proxy for the quality of individual research articles or researchers. Signed by over 20,000 individuals and 3,000 organizations, DORA advocates for evaluating research on its own merits rather than the prestige of the venue where it was published.
