Diamond Open Access

Diamond Open Access (also called Platinum OA) refers to journals that charge no fees to authors (no APC) and no fees to readers (no subscription). They are typically funded by academic societies, library consortia, university departments, or government grants. Diamond OA journals represent roughly 70% of DOAJ-listed journals by count, though they tend to be smaller and more specialized than commercial OA journals.
